Education startups industry is seeing a wave of investors coming to invest in validating their growth potential.
Below is a list of over 50 startups and companies which have gained further momentum after their funding in 2014-1015. Take a look!
1) BrightBytes, SaaS based analytical platform that measures use of technology to learning outcomes got funded in July 2015 by Learn Capital, Rethink Education, Insight Venture Partners and more such investors and raised $33 million.
2) Vedantu, An online education platform providing tech-based education to the students based out in Bangalore has received $5 million from Accel Partners and Tiger Global Investors in round of funding.
3) KleverKid, This online portal has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Aarin Capital. The platform acts like a marketplace for parents seeking coaching and tutors for their children.
4) Toppr, Mumbai based online practice and test package providing website has raised around $10 million of funding from Fidelity and SAIF & Helion.
5) Seed Schools, A Hyderabad based firm to provide affordable education, raised seed funding of $650,000 from Acumen Fund, a social venture capital investor.
6) Ignis Careers, a Hyderabad based career development firm that offers education and curriculum development, training on life skills and English Communication has received an amount of $250,000 as seed funding from Acumen Fund on May 5, 2015.
7) MeetUniv, This Delhi based platform that helps in assisting the students in finding colleges’ abroad has raised $1 million from US-based Peesh Venture Capital in 2015.
8) Plancess EduSolutions, a Mumbai based online educational platform received has recently raised an amount of $10 million that includes $2 million of seed funding from Aarti Group’s Promoters Gogri Family in 2015.
9) Testbook, Mumbai based online exam preparation site received $15 million in 2014 to develop their strategy and increase their visibility across the geographies.
10) TutorGroup, this Asia based online education platform offering online lessons raised $100Million growth equity in March 2014.
11) PathBrite that offers a portfolio-learning platform for educators and lifelong learners, raised $3.7 million in June 2014.
12) If You Can Company, the new startup that uses game play to teach children social and emotional learning (SEL) skills, raised a $6.5M which included Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, and Greylock Partners.
13) Clever, that enables K-12 schools to take full advantage of the game-changing world of digital learning by reinventing the set up, management and log in process for education software raised a $10.3Million in December, 2014 investors include Bessemer Ventures, Google Ventures, SV Angel, and Sequoia Capital.
14) Desire2Learn providing cloud (SaaS) based learning solutions and provides an open and extensible platform to clients in higher education, & K-12, raised $80 Million in 2014, which included New Enterprise Associates and OMERS Ventures.
15) Knewton, Based in New York, the company has raised $105Million, which included Bessemer Venture Partners, Founders Fund, Accel Partners, FirstMark Capital, First Round Capital, Atomico and GSV Capital.
16) Open English, an online school created to reinvent the English-language-learning topped the list of most well funded companies. The company raised of total $120Million, which included Insight Venture Partners, Flybridge Capital Partners, Technology Crossover Ventures and Kaszek Ventures.
17) Pluralsight raised $135 million from Insight Venture Partners, Felicis Ventures, Iconiq Capital & Sorenson Capital. Platform focuses on providing high-quality online training to IT learners.
18) Dude Solutions, This leading provider of SaaS operation software for education raised $100 million from Wargburg Pincus.
19) Yik Yak, an online platform where students connect with their teachers and get the live feeds raised $72 million from Kevin Collertan, Vaizra Investments, Azure Capital Partners & Sequoia Capital.
20) KnowRe, an online adaptive learning platform that raised $6.8 million in October, 2014 by Partners Investment, Sparklabs Global Ventures, Softbank Ventures, BlackBerry Partners Fund & KTB Ventures.
21) Craftsy, the premier destination for learning raised $ 50 million on November 13, 2014 by Adam Street Partners, Silicon Valley Bank, Tiger Global Management, Stripes Group, Access Venture Partners & Foundary Group.
22) Verbling, the platform for language learners using video chat technology raised $1.7 million by Funders Club & Draper Fiser Jurvetson in the starting of 2015.
23) Renaissance Learning is a k-12 assessment and learning company based in US that raised $40 million by Google Capital.

On September 24, 2014, the company raised $ 15.2 million from Trinity Ventures and Catamount Ventures and earlier the year on March 5, 2014 an amount of $ 3.4 million was raised by Catamaount Ventures, Deborah Quazzo, Learn Capital and Michael & Susan Dell Foundation.
52) Learn Zillion, The digital curriculum and professional learning platform that helps schools to set new standards raised findings in the second quarter of 2015.
