Bridge International Academies is announced as one of six winners of the World Innovation Summit in Education (WISE) Awards for 2015.
The Awards, which are presented annually by the Qatar Foundation at the WISE Summit in Doha, seek to recognise innovation in tackling global education challenges
Bridge International Academies in Kenya provides a standardized model of high-quality affordable education by designing cutting edge curricula, building schools and training teachers from the local community.
“Bridge is truly honoured to receive a WISE Award. We see it as a tremendous validation of what we set out to achieve in 2009: to do our part to ensure that every child around the world, regardless of income, has the right to access high-quality education. Recognition like this gives us encouragement as we open new academies in Nigeria this month, and develop new partnerships, such as our recent Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to support education in India,” says Sujatha Muthayya, Expansion Director, India, Bridge International Academies.
This month Bridge announced a Memorandum of Understanding with the government of Andhra Pradesh to partner in developing AP as a global knowledge hub. Bridge will open academies in AP in 2016, as well as strengthen delivery of early childhood education and primary education in the state.
Their data driven, tech-enabled system, currently serves more than 100,000 students in three countries, and we are continually looking for ways to improve and to expand access to high-quality education for all children.
