However, many people have misconceptions about this term. Therefore, to counter misconceptions about it, some of the key players of the Flipped Learning Network qualified Flipped Teachers, have defined this term.

Flipped Learning Network leaders also differentiate amid Flipped Learning and a Flipped Classroom. Such terms are not at all identical. A flip class can or cannot lead to flipped learning. A lot of teachers now flip their classroom by having students reading text outside their classroom. In flipped learning, students watch videos and solve problems online. In order to implement perfect flipped learning, teachers must include these following four pillars practically.

Flexible Environment

Flipped Learning permits for a number of learning approaches; teachers usually physically organize their classroom to teach lessons or subjects in order to support students studying in a group or independent. Teachers create flexible environment under which students can pick when and where they want to learn the lesson. Moreover, teachers who flip their classroom are also flexible in the hopes of their student timelines of learning.

  • Establish spaces as well as time frames that help students to interrelate and replicate on their learning as required.
  • Teachers must constantly see and monitor their students to do adjustments as needed.
  • Teachers must provide students with various learning contents.

Learning Culture

In the conventional educator-centered model, the teacher is the main source of information. Contrasting, the Flipped Learning model purposely shifts teaching to a learner-focused method. In this, class time is devoted to discovering lessons deeply and making rich learning prospects. Consequently, learners are aggressively involved in information building as they join and assess their knowledge in a manner that is individually significant.

  • Teachers should give their students an opportunity to involve in significant events without the educator being dominant.
  • Teachers should frame such activities and make available to each and every student via feedback.

Intentional Content

Flipped Learning Teachers always think about using the Flipped Learning model to assist their students to grow theoretical understanding and technical accuracy. They decide what they require to teach and what content students must discover by their own. Teachers use Intentional Content to maximize schoolroom time to grasp means of student-focused, various active learning approaches, etc.

  • Teachers should prioritize theories used in direct training for students to access at their own pace.
  • Teachers must produce and curate good content (basically videos) for their students.
  • Teachers should make relevant content reachable to all their students.

Professional Educator

Professional Educator or Teacher plays a crucial role as well as very much required in the Flipped Classroom compare to the traditional classroom. While teaching in the classroom, they must frequently see their students, giving them constant feedback at relevant point of time, as well as assessing the work. Good and professional teachers are thoughtful and dedicated while teaching. They always try to connect with their students, because this way they can improve their students. They must instruction, and take constructive criticism as well as tolerate and controlled chaos in their class. Professional Teacher must take on less noticeably prominent roles in the flipped classroom. They endure the vital ingredient that permits Flipped Learning to happen.

  • Teachers should make themselves available to every student for regular feedback time to time.
  • Teachers must conduct ongoing influential assessments while teaching in the class time as well as observing students during lecture. They should also record data in order to give future instruction and feedback to the students.
  • Teachers should also cooperate and replicate with other teachers or educators and should also transform their practice.
