What is Graphite?

Graphite is a free service designed by Common Sense Media for preK-12 educators to find best games, apps, websites as well as digital curricula to help their students. This service offers unbiased and useful review about the various resources available.  Graphite is a part of Common Sense Media.

The Founder and CEO of Common Sense Media says," The big that we’re trying to do here is making even easier for teachers to make good choices."

Graphite helps teachers to keep track of all the great tools they want to use meanwhile ensure that they are meeting their lesson objectives.

Shira Lee Katz Director of Digital Media, Common Sense Media says," Our goals to bring the whole field up and to help define a quality is for learning and kids."

She further added," For creating a community on Graphite that teacher themselves can actually say how they’re using things their classrooms."

How to Start With Graphite?

You can sign-up directly or you can even use social media platform to log-in Graphite.  You can use your Facebook, Google+, Twitter to get register with it.  With the facility of using social media platform Graphite is easily and frequently accessible.

  • However, if users do not wish to use social media than they can even get their unique login credentials while creating account on the website.
  • If you are new to Graphite then you can simply choose to sign-up using social media account option available. And if you are already a member then you can simply add your social account by using "my social networks ".
  • When you will log-in using your social media profile, Graphite will collect your first and last name, location and profile picture.
  • Moreover, Graphite doesn’t post any user’s activity or content contribution without user’s permission. The site seeks user’s permission before posting.

Graphite is a popular tool and a lot of teachers appreciate and use it every day.  Teresa Bodenmiller- a 6th Grade Teacher, Milpitas, CA says," I do not have luxury sometimes to find best use apps.
