In recent years, computer programming has become popular and is taking its place in kids' activity list. The education community is realizing that programming is essential for kids as it develops a lot of skills in students.

Here is an amazing platform that will help kids to learn computer programming and coding perfectly.

CoderDojo is a global network of free computer programming clubs for young people. Young people amid 7 to 17, learn how to develop site, code, games, programs and apps as well as explore technology in a creative atmosphere here. While learning codes, people meet the like-minded people and get to know all what they have been doing.

CoderDojo is a platform that makes learning and development of code, a funny, sociable, as well as wonderful experience. Themes covered in CoderDojo differ. It is created on the influence of the technical mentors in the club. But usually Dojos cover Scratch- introduction to programming and PHP, HTML, CSS for website development and for game development Ruby, JavaScript, Node.js and Python.

What is a Dojo?

A Dojo is an independent, volunteer-led programming club which is an integral part of global CoderDojo community. Every Dojo shares philosophy of CoderDojo and help every young learners how to do code and develop software and explore technology by working with like-minded people. Ever Dojo is integrally diverse and influenced by the technical mentor, coordinators, and volunteers who ease them.

How to Attend a Dojo?

Young people who are between 7 and 17 and interested in learning coding then, they can easily attend a Dojo. People can easily find out a Dojo nearby to their location by searching them on Dojo database and get in touch directly with them.

Volunteer for Dojo

Dojos always look for technical skilled people to help young learners for few hours every week. There are lot of ways by which people can volunteer with local CoderDojo. Well! Even if people are not technical advanced, they can always volunteer with CodeDojo, as the platform always look for a lot of volunteers to do a lot of task. Task over the platform varies from registration to administration on keeping website up-to-date. So, if people want to volunteer with Dojos, they can get in touch with their local Dojo. Some of the examples of work include:

  • Registration & check In
  • Producing fliers
  • Updating the website

On CoderDojo, volunteers are welcome on both time and resources. So, one can also volunteers for business. CoderDojo, encourage business to involve with local Dojo to deliver badges, belts, laptops, etc.
