“Effective use of technology in education” is perhaps a new discipline that needs to be taught.

And the thing that is different about this discipline is that the teachers, staff and administrators are also the learners for this, apart from the students (actual learners) of the educational institutions.

The fact that the same technology, product, app or tool can be used for different purposes by different people makes it tougher to find out standard solutions for the educators and learners.

As the school year starts, many teachers are wanting to implement flipped learning into their classes.  Before you begin, I encourage you to answer each of the questions below.  

The purpose of the questions is to help teachers BEGIN the process of flipping their class.  This is only the first step.  Flipped Class 101 can lead to Flipped Learning, which is a second stage of the Flipped Class. Many teachers are asking for some step by step guidelines as they begin

The Goal of Teaching – An Experienced Teacher’s Viewpoint 

The ultimate goal of teaching is to promote learning. For the most part, learning takes place in many different circumstances and contexts. Although everyone is capable of learning, a student’s desire to learn is a vital to mastering new concepts, principles and skills.

Pupils, in general, are endowed with many faculties and multiple learning styles: some learn best in lecture atmospheres, some are motivated by discussions while others absorb best when they read and reflect on what they have read…
