Google recently announced Education on Air– a free online conference for educators. The conference is about shaping present classroom and leading future.
This event will be held on May 8-9, 2015 and is open for everyone with an interest in education, including school leaders, educators/teachers, parents, school administrators the audience also includes higher education audience.
The event will be hosted online, so anyone having Internet connection can join it. People can also join conference from the comfort of their home.
What else’s in the conference?
Day One
Friday: Leading for the Future
The first day of the conference is dedicated to speakers from educators to students to business leaders. They will help audience to reflect on how they can empower their students to be happy and successful.
Topic of the Friday session includes:
- Creating student ownership
- Fostering innovation in schools
- Making technology work for learning
- Communicating change
This session is fruitful to you if you are leading a school, team, system, district or IT. You can hear this session on Friday, May 8 from 10am-3pm EST.
Day Two
Saturday: Shaping the Classroom Today
This 15-45 minute session will be lead by Google certified trainers, educators as well as Googlers. In this session, they will help students to have immediate impact. Topics of this session are:
- Empowering digital citizens
- Fostering collaboration with Google Docs
- Successful device deployment
- Supporting literacy in easy learners
Audience can post questions using online conference tool, chat on social media (#GoogleEduOnAir). Speakers and Google for Education team members will answer questions of the audience live or rest after completion of the event.
