Umon Group, a recruitment firm based in the Netherlands, has acquired Zeelenberg, a public sector-focused hiring specialist also based in the Netherlands.
The acquisition was completed on 21 December 2022. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Zeelenberg, headquartered in Den Bosch and founded in 1995, engages in recruitment & selection and interim management activities with psychology as an important qualitative support function, primarily focusing on filling permanent and interim positions at the board and management levels in the public sector.
Speaking about the acquisition, Martin Staats, Director of Umon, said,
Three professional companies are now working together under the Umon group. Broadening our base is in line with our growth strategy, which will enable us to further grow our services. Strengthening the individual labels is what will continue to receive a lot of attention in the coming years, also at DUX and OnlyHuman.
Umon said with the addition of Zeelenberg it aims to accelerate its growth and expand its presence in the secondment, interim management, and executive search market by joining forces with like-minded companies that strengthen its network and provide high-quality and reliable services.

Zeelenberg will retain its name and location. The group said ‘virtually nothing’ will change for clients, employees, and seconded employees.
Umon is the parent company behind the labels OnlyHuman and DUX. The company engages in interim management, executive search, recruitment & selection, and project-based secondment of highly-trained professionals in the public domain. Whereas OnlyHuman matches professionals in the field of marketing, communication and online, DUX operates as an executive search and interim management agency to the non-profit segment.
Corporate Finance International (CFI) acted as the exclusive corporate finance advisor to Umon in the acquisition of Zeelenberg.
