Jet HR, an Italy-based online recruitment platform aiming to tackle the challenges of bureaucratic personnel management through the power of technology, has recently raised $5.1 million (€4.7 million) in its pre-seed round led by Exor Ventures and Italian Founders Fund.
The funding round also saw participation from renowned personalities such as Luca Ascani (founder of Lambda Alpha), Dario Brignone and Alberto Dalmasso (co-founders of Satispay), Max Ciociola (founder of Musixmatch), Luca Ferrari (founder of Bending Spoons), Luca Foresti (CEO at Santagostino), Diego Piacentini (founder of View Different), Matteo Pichi (founder of Poke House), Giorgio Tinacci (founder of Casavo), as well as other angel investors who have held key roles in international technology companies, such as David Clarke (former CTO at Workday) and Joe Zadeh (former VP Product at Airbnb).
Founded by Marco Ogliengo and Francesco Scalambrino, Jet HR’s mission is to unify administrative tasks, IT operations, employee and freelancer management, and simplify labour law concepts. By providing entrepreneurs and managers with the tools to handle administrative activities, such as payroll management, and hiring employees and independent contractors, the startup empowers businesses of all sizes—from startups to larger companies—to enhance efficiency and effectively manage their growth.
Through a single proprietary platform, the company automates payroll (processing, issuing and archiving payroll) and accompanies employers and managers through all stages of their employees’ working lives. The easy-to-understand and simple-to-navigate interface allows access to detailed employee information, obtain labour cost simulations, send contracts and formalize hiring independently.
Speaking about the platform, Co-founder & CEO of Jet HR, Marco Ogliengo, said:
As an entrepreneur, I have experienced the typical frustration of those who run businesses in Italy: hours and hours dedicated to bureaucracy, administrative tasks and interpreting obscure requirements. In an SME, it is difficult to delegate delicate matters such as people and salaries: it is, therefore, the CEO, the person whose time is the scarcest, who is in charge of bureaucracy. Jet HR was the solution I wanted when I started as an entrepreneur. Winning the support and enthusiasm of so many other entrepreneurs confirms that we are on the right track.
The firm supports each client company by also providing a partner labour consultant. It is forming a selected network of chartered labour consultants who look forward to and embrace the transformation of the profession by focusing on proactive and value-added consultancy, such as the design and execution of welfare plans, which are increasingly crucial for attracting and retaining talent, the updating and identification of sensitive issues or opportunities arising from the continuous evolution of labour regulations, and much more.
Adding further about the platform, Co-founder & Chief Product Officer of Jet HR, Francesco Scalambrino, said:
Efficiently managing all employee-related activities, starting from payroll, can significantly contribute to a company’s competitiveness. During my experiences abroad, I discovered how entrepreneurs, administrations, CFOs, and HR Managers could handle these tasks with far less complexity and time than in our country. We aim to bridge this gap for Italian companies by automating activities that consume employees’ precious time, allowing them to focus on strategic initiatives based on their roles and skills.
Jet HR extends its benefits to employees and contractors as well. Through a simple mobile app, they can request vacation days, submit expense reports, and access other features that enhance transparency and streamline the relationship between employers and their workforce. With its comprehensive features and commitment to simplifying HR management, it is poised to transform the way businesses in Italy operate, making administrative processes more fluid, clear, and transparent for everyone involved.
