Tera, a Brazil-based online business school, has recently raised $2.09 million in a funding round led by X8 Investimentos. The company will utilize the funds to expand course offerings and the number of learners, especially from corporate clients.
Founded in 2016 by Leandro Herrera, Tera is an EdTech company that has been developing its hybrid learning method for years. It combines on-demand content with live interactive meetings and a community for open discussions and answering questions. The startup helps business professionals improve skills, including digital product management, UI/UX, data analysis, operations strategy, artificial intelligence, and leadership. It claims that it has trained more than 20,000 students, with a very high level of satisfaction.
Purchasing the Tera plan allows one to become a platform member and enjoy all the features for 12 months. During this period, one can also have access to certifications recognized by the market, dozens of courses, challenges and practical tools, and will be able to enrol in practical workshops (with case studies) and lives, in addition to having access to its community to seek opportunity and network.
Headquartered in Sao Paulo, Tera’s courses and live meetings will help one quickly develop new skills in product management, leadership, business, design and innovation, and more. It is an ongoing partner in one’s career development. According to the company, its revenue from these clients accounts for 35 per cent; Itaú is one of its clients.
