Talana, the Chilean startup specializing in providing human resources solutions, has recently raised $8 million in a funding round led by Venturance, with participation from Altis. With this capital, the company intends to expand its operations into Mexico and Peru. It also plans to develop new products and services to solidify its position as a regional leader in human resources software.
Founded in 2016 by Pablo de la Barra and José Antonio Akel, Talana aims to digitize processes and improve company-employee communication. The company delivers technological solutions that accompany HR areas, supporting them to reach their maximum potential and adapt to the expectations and demands of a more humane work world. With human technology, the HRTech platform seeks to constantly improve one’s experience and respond to present and future needs. The firm believes that technological innovation at the service of organizations and their collaborators enhances the world of work and prepares them for its evolution.
Speaking on the fundraising, Chief Executive Officer of Talana, Ignacio Spiniak, said:
Peru has significant potential due to its size comparable to Chile’s but with much lower adoption of human resources software. On the other hand, Mexico presents a unique opportunity due to its formal workforce, which is four times larger than Chile’s.
Since its inception, the startup has established a strong presence in the market with over 5,500 clients in Chile and Peru, catering to a user base of more than 400,000 collaborators through its products and services. Its app is Chile’s most downloaded HR software. Last year, Talana acquired a company to support its expansion.
