In a significant move towards modernizing education, Gujarat’s Minister of State for Education, Praful Pansheriya, recently unveiled Shiksha Reform, an online learning platform in Surat. Deepak Rajguru, a well-known educationist, and trustees and principals from notable institutions attended the launch ceremony at The Amore Hotel. Kimmo Nikkanen from Finland’s Kajaani University of Applied Sciences participated, as was educationist Antti Isovita.
Shiksha Reform is a joint effort between Microsoft and a leading Finnish university that will offer high-quality courses. With experienced and highly qualified professors, the platform aims to transform education, particularly in technology. It believes education is the key to success in life and provides professional certification programmes, such as Microsoft Skills for Jobs, to help individuals reach their full potential.
Education Minister Praful Pansheriya highlighted the significance of incorporating technology into education during the event. He added, “The world is fast moving towards technology, and it is critical to enhance digital skills.”
Shiksha Reform’s co-founders Rajiv Soni and Paresh Chalodiya also stated that the platform offers short-term courses in cutting-edge fields like artificial intelligence and cyber security in association with Microsoft and the Finnish university. Students can study various courses on the online learning platform by paying a nominal fee. Shiksha Reform’s partners Ankur Patel and Umesh Bardoliwala said a unique differentiator of their platform is the course European Credits (ECTS) for students, which will be helpful for students eyeing educational opportunities in Finland and Europe.
Shiksha Reform provides students with vital technological skills, boosting their careers. Its Skills for Jobs initiative offers learning paths for students, technology professionals, and those looking to enhance their tech skills. Leading corporations and universities prepare the portal’s courses and have state-of-the-art study material. Moreover, students can access their courses forever, without any time or other constraints. Highly qualified and industry-experienced mentors train students informed Hatim Fathulla – Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).
