UNIVO Education, an online higher education company that allows universities to offer online degrees, has recently announced the plans to expand its international collaborations through its strategic partner AVENU Learning, with institutions such as the University of San Diego, Saint Leo University, and Southern New Hampshire University in the US and Victoria University in Australia, CEO Siddharth Banerjee said in a statement.
Furthermore, he added that the company aims to expand its strategic alliances with universities and industry partners such as HCL Tech and TCSion to provide industry-aligned curriculum and hands-on training to ensure job-ready graduates.
Banerjee stated that UNIVO currently has partnerships with Amity University Online, Birla Institute of Management and Technology, and the Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education in India. It also has plans for a “significant” workforce expansion. He said, “This mission aligns strongly with the larger nation-building imperative to increase India’s GER (Gross Enrolment Ratio) from 27% to 50% by 2035.”
In FY24, the company reached a revenue of ₹150 crore and saw the learner count tripling year-over-year, reaching a total enrolment of over 90,000 students to date. Its workforce has also increased to more than 1,200 workers to support the growth.
The CEO added, “The strategic partnership with AVENU is aimed at helping UNIVO expand university relationships and introduce international degrees for Indian learners.”
UNIVO provides various services, including programme expansion, content development, student support, and more. The platform’s flexible and concentrated placement push has sparked new enthusiasm within the online student community. It continually works with a nationwide network of students from institutions and colleges to provide chances regularly. This includes knowledge, capabilities, and experience to support its strategic goals, allowing institutions to focus on their primary instructional operations better.
Last year, UNIVO established a second office in Bengaluru to expand technology and sales operations. In 2022, the company secured a $76 million Series A investment and entered a long-term partnership with U.S.-based AVENU Learning, one of the leading online higher education institutions.
