Mobile Learning is any sort of learning that happens when the learner is not at a fixed, predetermined location, or learning that happens when the learner takes advantage of the learning opportunities offered by mobile technologies . With the use of mobile

devices, learners can learn anywhere and at any time.

In simple words, m-learning is any activity that allows individuals to be more productive when consuming, interacting with, or creating information, mediated through a compact digital portable device that the individaul carries on a regular basis, has reliable connectivity and fits in a pocket or purse.

It's unique attributes are personal, portable, collaborative, interactive, contextual and situated, it emphasizes "just-in-time-learning" as instruction can be delivered anywhere and at anytime through it. Moreover, it is an aid to formal and informal learning and thus holds enormous potential to help students in the 21st century and transform the delivery of education and training. Most mobile devices are useful in education as administration, organisation and teaching aids for practitioners, and also as learning support tools for learners.

M-learning technologies include handheld computers, MP3 players, notebooks, mobile phones (smartphones ) and tablets.
