GESA is the world’s largest EdTech startup competition, with more than 1,500 applicants from over 70 countries around the world.
The grand prize winner as well as the winners of each of the 3 new tracks will be announced in January 2018 at the Global Finals event alongside the 2018 BETT Show in London.
This year, alongside the Award for the Most Promising EdTech Startup of 2017, special prizes will be given to 3 new tracks that we are introducing this year: Innovation, Literacy and Artificial Intelligence.
GESA is proud to announce that one of the world’s leaders in fostering design and implementation of innovative solutions to address the world’s serious problems is sponsoring 2 of the tracks: (1) Literacy Track, in partnership with Digital Promise: open to startup companies addressing the need for learning to read and write as well as numeracy, at all levels of education; (2) Artificial Intelligence Track: open to startup companies providing AI educational solutions.
Our Partners
The Innovation track is a new initiative that provides early stage capital to EdTech startups, jointly led by Arie Capital and MindCET – part of The Center for Education Technology in Israel. Committed to provide a minimum of $50,000 to a promising startup from Israel or the UK that offers an innovative learning solution that addresses GESA criteria. This track will be judged from an investability standpoint.
The Grand Prize for the most promising EdTech Startup is led by a joint venture of seasoned GESA partners from around the world who will be hosting regional semi-finals in California, Boston, Spain, France, Latin America, Israel and India. This Year, GESA welcomes the celebration, for the 1st time, of regional semi-finals in South Africa and Japan.
