Bengaluru-based Collaboration & Productivity Platform for Teachers Toddle Raises Seed Funds from Matrix Partners, Others

Bengaluru-based Toddle, a collaboration and productivity platform for teachers, has raised an undisclosed amount in a seed funding round led by Matrix Partners India.

The round was joined by the seed-stage venture firm Better Capital and angel investors such as Swiggy co-founder Rahul Jaimini among others.

Founded in 2018 by Deepanshu Arora and Parita Parekh, Toddle creates collaboration and productivity tools for teachers across all stages of teaching and learning. It helps teachers streamline curriculum planning, documentation, parent communication, and analytics – all from one flawless interface. The platform also enables schools and educators to learn from each other’s classes by capturing teaching and learning sessions through photos, videos, audio-notes and more.

Toddle aims to be the largest collaboration and sharing network for educators globally. The platform, operated by Teacher Tools Pvt. Ltd, currently claims to have over 10,000 teachers from across the world.

Speaking about the company’s goal and on the latest funding, Deepanshu Arora, Co-founder of Toddle, said,

“Today’s teachers are very tech-savvy and use technology for a variety of needs. The struggle is that they have to juggle between multiple tools to solve for these needs. With Toddle, our goal is to simplify the entire teaching and learning cycle with one seamless and intuitive solution. We are excited to partner with the team at Matrix, Vaibhav (Better Capital), and Rahul as we build tools that teachers love to use day after day.”

Toddle comes inbuilt with PYP planning templates and 200+ learning standards used around the world including PYP Scope and Sequence, Common Core, US State Standards, Australian Curriculum, New Zealand Curriculum and others. The platform enables teachers to collaborate in real time and access all their current and past work from one place. It engages students, tracks individual learning journeys, and creates visual progress reports, and gives parents a window into student learning and happenings at the school.

Commenting on the investment, Rajat Agarwal, Director, Matrix Partners India, said in a statement,

“Teachers, all over the world, are adopting technology in their classrooms very rapidly. Having been educators themselves, the Toddle team has built a world-class product that is revolutionizing the way teachers plan, interact and collaborate with other teachers, students and parents. We are privileged to partner with Deepanshu and Parita as they look to build the largest community of teachers globally.”

Meanwhile, the company said that it plans to use the newly raised funds to cater to more educational segments in the coming years.
