Following its goals to help student all around Brazil to reach a good quality of education allied to innovation and technology, Descomplica is a startup founded in 2011 and now reaches 5 million students every month. It works with a 100% online model that offers classes for teenage students, under and postgraduates. Today the EdTech is announced as one of the “Tech Pioneers” of the World Economic Forum, a global recognition for early to growth-stage companies considered the world’s most promising start-ups and scale-ups at the forefront of technological and business model innovation.

“We’re glad to have the opportunity to join this renowned group, it’s a reward for our hard work on education and the proof that we’re on the right path when using technology to help our students to reach their goals”, says Marco Fisbhen, CEO at Descomplica.

The startup is one of the two Brazilian companies joining the group of a hundred companies. It now begins a two-year journey as part of the World Economic Initiatives, when it will join its activities and events, helping to bring fresh thinking to critical global discussions, especially about education, one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that compose the United Nations (UN) agenda to reach prosperity and development around the world.

“It’s a unique opportunity to learn from other amazing companies that are helping people in their own countries. I’m sure we will finish this journey, two years from now, richer in experience and more engaged to put the Brazilian education in a more qualified and democratic path”, says Marco.
