EdHusk Raises Funding from Mumbai Angels Network

EdHusk, a Jaipur-based hybrid edtech startup providing personalized one-on-one tutoring services at students’ home as well as technology-aided learning solutions, has raised funding from Mumbai Angels Network.

The funding was announced by Mumbai Angels in a blog post. However, the India’s premier venture platform did not disclose the amount of the funding.

Founded in 2017 and an initiative of IIT Kharagpur alumni, EdHusk provides personalized tutoring services across three domains: Academics, Sports & Fitness, and Hobbies & Life Skills. It offers tutoring services for all subjects from Pre-K to 12th, and sports & fitness and hobbies & life skills including yoga, zumba, martial arts, music, dance, fine arts, crafting, cooking, language learning, swimming, cricket and other indoor as well as outdoor games. The platform also offers some specialized courses for age-appropriate groups such as English for homemakers and basic computing for elders, etc.

EdHusk aims to revolutionize personalized education, home and away tutoring by providing students with easily accessible high-quality customized learning solutions and activities designed to reignite the love for learning through better understanding.

Commenting on the funding and expressing the company’s plan to use the funds, Himanshu Meena, Co-Founder of EdHusk, said,

“Mumbai Angels Network has been very supportive through the whole process of raising funds. With these funds, we plan to bring about significant changes by expanding our services to new domain and automate the whole process of tutor finding.”

EdHusk connects learners with the most qualified tutors and professionals based on their preferences using its advanced matchmaking algorithm. It offers conceptualized course content and 3D models with a holistic approach to understand realistic applications, periodic assessments and in-depth performance analytics to help learners track their learning or training progress.

Expressing her excitement for EdHusk becoming a part of its diversified portfolio, Nandini Mansinghka, Co-promoter and CEO, Mumbai Angels Network, said,

Abhishek Pansari, an investor at Mumbai Angels Network, also commented on the investment saying, “As each child is unique, a much required personalized development needs of the child are catered to quite brilliantly by EdHusk. This approach, together with the passion of the founders to take EdHusk pan India, called for an investment from me in this company.”

EdHusk is focused on the conceptualization of Indian education system and provide personalized learning according to student needs. With the new capital, the company is planning to expand its services to new domain.
