Masterplan.com, a workplace learning platform for companies, recently announced that it has raised €13 million (US$15.5 million) from its existing investors.
The German startup plans to utilize the additional capital to further expand the development and distribution of its proprietary software for workplace learning and development.
Founded in 2017, Masterplan is a learning platform for companies that make corporate learning easier, more engaging, and more effective than ever before. It combines digital learning and entertainment so employees can learn and take their careers to the next level, all while having fun. With Masterplan, companies can create individual courses for different teams, track the learning progress of all participants at a glance, and employees can share their progress and motivate each other. To keep the learners excited and motivated, Masterplan platform offers interactive quizzes, rankings, rewards for excellence. Companies can integrate the platform into their existing Learning Management System.
From startups to DAX companies, Masterplan claims to have revolutionized professional development in more than 250 companies, including Otto Group, SIEMENS, VW, and Beiersdorf among others. The startup also claims to have tripled its revenue in 2020.
Speaking about the company and how it plans to use the new funding, Stefan Peukert, Founder and CEO of Masterplan, said,

In 2020 alone, we tripled our revenue. Now it’s a matter of setting the course for the future.
With the new funding, we will expand our target market to be the best offer for small and medium-sized companies. For that we focus on the development of our software, to become the most intuitive and most flexible solution for all our customers’ needs.”
Besides developing and expanding its software, the company plans to use the funding to continue to build its management team.
Masterplan has recently launched a no-coding tool (Masterplan Creator) that allows companies to build their own learning courses, and also released a new Android and iOS app for its users to learn on the go or at home on the couch, or whenever it fits their schedule.
