Alphacruncher, a Switzerland-based education technology firm, has raised €1.45 million funding from Austrian venture capital firm Alpine Equity, NGM, private investors and existing users.
With the recent fundraise, the company plans to enable the global rollout of its education and research cloud workspace product, Nuvolos.
Founded in 2015 by Alexandru Popescu, Fabio Trojani, and Tamas Simon, Alphacruncher’s cloud platform provides an easily accessible, fully integrated, digital research environment, which efficiently supports data-analytic workflows with a holistic approach providing appropriate data services, high-performance computing facilities and unified digital curation.
Alphacruncher is on a mission to provide innovative technology solutions to the education, higher education and research sectors at large. Its product Nuvolos creates novel and simplified workflows in digital education and research. Nuvolos is a complete research and teaching platform optimized for data and code. It enables its users to harness the power of modern cloud computing technology in a simple and user-friendly way.
In addition to providing an online computing lab interface, Nuvolos offers productivity, quality of life, and integration features to minimize the overhead that used to be a natural part of academic workflows.
