Ahura AI, an innovative AI-powered workforce upskilling platform based in San Francisco, recently announced that it has raised $3 million in an oversubscribed seed funding round from CP Ventures, 2.12 Ventures, and others.
The EdTech startup has also announced two new additions to its leadership team – Alex Tsado, formerly with Nvidia, Goldman Sachs, and Bain as COO, and De Kai Wu, a visionary technologist and inventor of web translators, as Chief Technology Advisor.
Founded in 2020 by Bryan Talebi, Ahura AI has developed a powerful platform that fosters true learning and skills knowledge to positively impact the lives of companies and their workforces worldwide. The startup works with companies to allow the generation of an upskill learning culture, creating value for employees and employers alike while keeping them industry-competitive.
Commenting on joining the company, Alex Tsado said in a statement,
“We are living in unprecedented times and urgency. With the impending workforce crisis in 2030, I’m pleased to be joining the groundbreaking team at Ahura AI to re-imagine upskilling to fundamentally impact the future for good. Ahura AI is guiding professionals at the top of their fields to address this challenge and apply it to saving people’s jobs and well-being.”
Ahura AI’s mission is to become the trusted platform for knowledge training and to foster a learning culture worldwide for a competitive edge. The platform has pioneered a way to learning exponentially, recognizing that everyone learns at a different cadence and at their best with different formats of education. It has been developed precisely because personalized education is proven to be the most effective way to teach and learn.
De Kai Wu has also commented on his appointment stating,
“My work’s focus has always been on creating tools to educate people to better understand each other across cultures and in the world around them. Ahura AI is doing groundbreaking work in an untapped area, the unconscious at work, and creating a platform that fundamentally helps people be more mindful, focused, and purposeful.”
According to a report by McKinsey Global Institute, an estimated 800 million jobs globally will be lost to workforce automation and innovative technologies by 2030. Understanding this situation, Ahura AI seeks to provide workers with a means to acquire new skills that allow them to take on what could be the biggest industrial revolution humanity has ever seen.
