In an effort to promote innovation and knowledge sharing in healthcare and medical education, Amrita School of Medicine and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal have announced a significant collaboration. An esteemed interactive session led by Professor Dr. Ajai Singh, the Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, commemorated this cooperation.
The session commenced with a warm welcome address by Professor Jagat R Kanwar, Head of the Department of Biochemistry at AIIMS Bhopal. This set the stage for an insightful exchange of ideas between the two institutions. Following the welcome address, Dr DM Vasudevan, the Dean of Clinical Research at Amrita School of Medicine, provided a comprehensive overview of the institution’s progress and goals in medical education and research.
Professor Dr Jaideep Menon, Associate Dean of Amrita School of Medicine, presented the institute’s ongoing clinical and research endeavours. This showcased our unwavering commitment to advancing medical science.
Professor Rehan ul Haq, the dean of research at AIIMS Bhopal, made a noteworthy act of cooperation when he highlighted their institution’s publications and research achievements over the previous year. He stressed the significance of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) that the two prestigious institutions recently signed. Further solidifying the bond between the institutions, Professor Vasudevan presented meritorious MBBS and MD Biochemistry students of AIIMS Bhopal with signed copies of his textbook. This represents a shared commitment to academic excellence and knowledge dissemination.
Dr. Sukesh Mukherjee, Additional Professor of Biochemistry and Nodal Officer of the MOU, expressed his gratitude in the vote of thanks. He highlighted the key achievements outlined in the MOU, such as joint research projects and exchange programmes and the collaborative efforts towards shaping the future of medical research and education.
