The E&ICT Academy at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has partnered with AlmaBetter, a worldwide educational technology platform backed by Kalaari. This collaboration aims to provide advanced Full Stack Data Science, AI, and Full Stack Web Development certifications. According to an official announcement, the E&ICT Academies is a collaborative initiative involving the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the Government of India, and several IITs and NITs.
The E&ICT Academy at IIT Guwahati has crafted and endorsed the curriculum. Learners enrolling with AlmaBetter will receive an additional Advanced Certification from E&ICT Academy at IIT Guwahati, granting them access to a globally recognized standard of education accredited by IIT. Upon completing this certification, learners can add a prestigious IIT endorsement to their resumes, significantly enhancing their career prospects.
AlmaBetter, established in 2020 by five IIT-educated founders, is an AI-driven tech upskilling institute that helps students develop modern-day technology professions. The company’s “Competency-based Learning” initiative challenges traditional schooling by focusing on AI-powered outcome-based learning. The startup aims to give students a risk-free education and assist them in realizing their full potential.

According to the statement, all students interested in IIT-certified programmes can now access a global curriculum through a flexible manner of learning centred on career goals and access to AlmaBetter’s esteemed network of 700+ hiring partners.

AlmaBetter claims to have recorded a 92% placement rate in the last three years.
