Amazon Web Services (AWS) and EdTechReview (ETR) have announced the 2020 Amazon Alexa EdTech Skills Challenge with the aim to find the best application of voice technology in education from all over India. The winner gets a chance to win $50,000 in AWS Promotional Credit.
The Amazon Alexa EdTech Skills Challenge is open to education technology companies in India. The competition is an opportunity for your company to build a skill that addresses education challenges and positively impacts students, faculty, administrators, and other stakeholders. Click here for a full list of eligibility criteria.
Interested companies are required to fill out their applications—along with their idea for Alexa Skill—using the form on the website. Applicants do not need to build the skill at this stage. If you advance as a finalist, we will inform you on 5th May, 2020, and ask you to build your Alexa skill with guidance from AWS experts. The last date to submit your idea is 23rd April, 2020.
The challenge finalists will present their Alexa skill to a judging panel of industry-leading experts at the AWS-initiate Event in Bengaluru on 2nd July, 2020, (*subject to change), and the winner gets $50,000 in AWS Promotional Credit. All applications must be submitted through the application form and completed in one session, since you cannot save your application and return to it later.
All applications for the challenge must choose from one of the following categories:
- Administration processes
- Assessment processes
- Teaching practices
- Continuing professional development
- Learning throughout life
Submit your idea before 23rd April, 2020. You can find more information on the website. For any queries, email us at alexachallenge2020[at]edtechreview.in.
