Apoia, a Brazilian EdTech startup offering tailor-made courses, has raised $800,000 in a funding round led by Big Bets, Reach Capital, and Blustone Capital, with participation from Brazilian angel investors.
Apoia, founded in 2023, offers over 15,000 courses in 170 professional areas, with content approved by specialists from firms like Nubank, O Boticário, and Creditas. The platform employs artificial intelligence to provide tailored learning experiences, allowing students to modify their education to their unique needs and professional challenges. At Apoia, all courses are distance learning and online, allowing students to complete them quickly and simply from anywhere in the country (BH, RJ, SP, etc.) and anytime. Courses can be viewed using mobile apps or a web browser.
Speaking about the company, Rangel Barbosa, Founder and CEO of Apoia, said:
We want to flip the traditional online education model by putting students in control of their learning, with courses adapted to their needs and professional challenges.
Apoia’s mission is to ensure that every problem is solved due to a lack of knowledge and support. Anyone, anywhere, can sign up for educational content to learn (students) or use its models and templates to solve their problems. All Apoia courses feature a free version that includes high-quality content on your selected topic and the chapters you specified. Differences from the paid version include the level of personalization and interactions with the tutor, project correction, and the certificate.
With exceptional market expertise and the latest technology, the organization offers courses focused on each student’s professional difficulties, using the best content in the world to help them achieve professional success.
With this funding, Apoia plans to expand its operations across Brazil and grow its platform. It hopes to reach its goal of 500,000 monthly active users and $860,000 in revenue by the end of 2025.
