Artium Academy, India’s leading online music learning platform, has opened its first offline centre in Alwarpet, Chennai, with the aim of making high-quality music education more accessible to local communities. This initiative is a testament to its commitment to extend the services beyond the digital realm, inviting all music enthusiasts, potential students, and parents to participate in its vibrant, inclusive global music community. The launch of this centre is just the beginning of the company’s plan to establish 50 more centres across India in the next 12 to 18 months.
The new centre in Alwarpet features a state-of-the-art performance arena equipped with the best-in-class instruments. These facilities are designed to enhance the learning experience by allowing students to develop their performance and stage skills in a professional environment. The performance arena and all other facilities will be exclusively available to Artium students, ensuring a focused and immersive educational experience.

Unnikrishnan, as well as Artium’s Chief of Pedagogy and well-known voice expert in India, Ananth Vaidyanathan, honoured the opening of the Chennai centre. Following the inauguration, both artists delivered a masterclass to the kids, imparting their knowledge and encouraging the young students to begin their musical careers.
The Chennai Centre, a hub of diverse musical interests, offers a wide range of courses. Its vocal training courses cater to all, from Tamil cinema music to Carnatic classical music, Western vocals to karaoke, stage skills, and more. In addition, the platform offers instrument courses in keyboard, piano, and guitar, with more to come as the centre grows. Its eight highly knowledgeable instructors, each a master in their field, are dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality learning experiences.
