Aspire Academy has signed a collaboration agreement with the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation to share information and provide training opportunities in various areas. Ali Salem Afifa, Deputy Director of Aspire Academy, and Talal Al Hothal, Director of EAA’s Al Fakhoora Programme, signed the agreement at a ceremony at the Academy.
The Education Above All (EAA) Foundation is dedicated to the transformative power of education. It firmly believes that education is the most potent tool for poverty reduction, the creation of peaceful and just societies, and the unlocking of every child and youth’s full potential. This collaboration will open doors for the beneficiaries identified by the EAA Foundation, allowing them to participate in future events offered by Aspire Academy.
One of Aspire Academy’s flagship projects, which the EAA Foundation will benefit from, is the unique Leadership Development Programme (LDP). The LDP is meticulously designed to cultivate leadership skills in our student-athletes, preparing them for future roles both on and off the field. It aims to foster personal growth, teamwork, and leadership capabilities in student-athletes, recognizing that nurturing well-rounded individuals is as crucial as athletic success.
Al Fakhoora, a programme of the EAA Foundation through Qatar Scholarship, works to ensure the right to education for youth in conflict-affected regions, particularly refugees and IDPs, by providing a holistic higher education model. The goal is to unlock a new generation of marginalized youth to become educated, professionally skilled, civically engaged individuals who inspire and guide their families and communities towards cohesion and prosperity.
Abdulla Albakri, Al Fakhoora’s Programme Engagement Manager, highlighted the significance of partnering with Aspire Academy. He emphasized:
Through our scholarship programmes, we also offer training courses to students to enhance their skills when they the workforce after graduation. Therefore, the communication and interpersonal skills provided by Aspire Academy are essential for our students. This is why we are keen to offer these courses to our scholars to enhance their future skills. Aspire is a significant institution that provides education alongside sports, and we aim to benefit from their expertise in this field.
Abdulla added:
We want to offer our students what they need and allow them to benefit from the facilities and training courses Aspire Academy provides.
The Deputy Director of Education and Student Affairs, Ali Ahmad Al Hitmi, also expressed his thoughts on the collaboration:
One of the tasks entrusted to Aspire Foundation, especially Aspire Academy, is establishing partnerships to serve the community and education in general. This cooperation agreement is a programme through which we can offer our services to other institutions. Through these partnerships, we also aim to build bridges of trust between these institutions in serving education and supporting all members of these institutions.
The agreement is not limited to academics. Aspire Academy will provide training programmes to a target group of beneficiaries from across the region to allow them to develop their knowledge and understanding of sports and life development. (QNA).
Aspire Academy’s vision is to be recognized as the world’s leading sports academy for the development of youth athletes. The platform focuses on the long-term growth of individual players, preparing them for a career in professional football and representing Qatar on an international level. Its educational mission is to shape well-educated sporting champions, lifelong learners, and multicultural citizens.
