Award winners: bettermarks is among the most innovative digital learning companies in Europe
bettermarks, the online learning platform, has been recognised as one of Europe’s most innovative education companies at the renowned EdTech Europe conference in London.
Alongside the degree of innovation, the jury was impressed both by bettermarks’ potential for increasing the significance of the digital learning market and also for growing and expanding their own business to other markets. “With bettermarks, we have created a product with outstanding promise for international scaling. We are delighted with this award“, says Arndt Kwiatkowski, founder and CEO of bettermarks.
The learning platform for mathematics won over the jury in the “Adaptive Learning” category. bettermarks offers more than 100 interactive mathematics books in English, Spanish and German, with a Dutch version coming out this summer. These books enable students to improve their maths skills step by step, while bettermarks is ready with assistance for every step of every calculation, diagnoses individual difficulties and gives immediate, constructive feedback. Teachers get detailed and clear reports on each student individually, which they can use to personalise their lessons more effectively.
EdTech Europe is a one-day summit on education technology and digital learning, organised by the Edxus Group and their partner IBIS Capital. Aimed at both industry and academia, the summit brings together senior executives, innovators and leading investors to help promote innovation and expansion in the field.
It introduces the “EdTech20 Ranking” of the top twenty European digital learning companies in terms of outstanding innovation and growth. A jury then picks the three most impressive innovations, which included the adaptive learning platform bettermarks this year.
