Bizongo, a business-to-business ecommerce and supply chain enablement platform, announced the acquisition of Hexa, a Bengaluru-based cloud platform for college placements, marking the first-ever acquisition of the B2B SaaS platform.
With this acquisition, Bizongo aims to innovate and launch new products in the made-to-order segment in the coming months.
As a part of the deal, Hexa’s Co-founder and Head of the Product Shubam Goyal, will join Bizongo as the senior product manager, while Sushmita Chavan, who was the head of business operations at Hexa will join as product intelligence specialist along with six other team members. Of the 12 people team at Hexa, 10 were extended the offer and eight have accepted it.
Launched in April 2021 by Shubam Goyal and Sushmita Chavan, Hexa provides a cloud platform to increase placement ratio at colleges and enables students to connect with more companies for campus hiring.
The company is said to have partnered with over 25 colleges and more than 10 partner companies. Hexa has onboarded 15,000 students on its platform since its inception.

Bizongo, co-founded in 2015 by IIT graduates Aniket Deb, Sachin Agrawal and Ankit Tomar, is a B2B online marketplace startup offering industry packaging supplies for sectors such as ecommerce, retail, restaurant and hospitality, FMCG, industrial logistics and food and beverage. The company manufactures carry bags, material handling equipment, protective packaging, pouches & tubes, non-paper-based packaging, containers, cans, shippers, paper products, bulk packaging, cartons and more.

The startup has collaborated with popular brands such as Walmart-owned Flipkart, IPO-bound Ecom Express, Tata Cliq, Firstcry, Licious, among others.
The Mumbai headquartered Bizongo also plans to hire more than 100 people across its product, engineering and sales team by December 2022, with a major focus on acquiring and bringing a seasoned team to strengthen its workforce.
Bizongo had recently raised $110 million as a part of its Series D funding round led by Tiger Global Management. The fundraise had valued the company at $600 million.
