Mentoria, a platform that enables individuals to discover themselves and their ideal career paths, said it has raised ₹2.5 crore ($ 344K) in its pre-series A funding round led by Indian Angel Network.
The round also saw participation from marquee investors, including Jayant Mehrotra, former CFO at Lodha Group, and Pradeep Jaisingh, Chairman, HealthStart India.
The Mumbai-based startup said it will use the freshly infused capital to scale up its technology and product, marketing efforts, and build career communities on the platform.
The company is also looking at creating new products, gamifying their content, and building customized information pathways that enable both students and working professionals to understand what it takes to get into their shortlisted/envisioned careers.
Founded in 2015, Mentoria provides a unique and holistic career discovery platform that enables students and individuals to discover themselves and the careers they will truly enjoy and excel at and handholding them till they start their first job. The platform leverages Artificial Intelligence to suggest a list of ideal career paths for users based on their psychometric assessment results. This is followed by online career guidance and counseling session with trained and certified career counselors, who help them discover the field they will enjoy and excel in.

The startup said that it has so far enabled over 81,000 students/working professionals, 50+ corporates including Axis Bank, Aditya Birla Capital, L&T Technology Services, and more as well as more than 50 schools to become CareerReady.

Mentoria claimed that it saw a 4X growth over FY 20-21, despite the ongoing pandemic.
