Casio, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of consumer electronics and business equipment solutions, and Open Up Resources (OUR), a non-profit publisher dedicated to providing equitable learning experiences for all students, have collaborated to integrate Casio’s ClassPad.net technology into Open Up High School Mathematics’ Algebra 1 Programme, the companies announced recently at the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics conference. This partnership aims to address the challenges caused by limited access to technology resources to create a more inclusive and enriching learning environment.
Open Up High School Mathematics students and educators now have access to ClassPad.net, an intuitive online tool seamlessly incorporated into OUR’s openly accessible curriculum. This platform empowers teachers and students to delve further into the presented mathematical concepts.
Integrating ClassPad.net with Open Up High School Mathematics is a significant move forward in both organisations’ shared objective to promote equity and accessibility in education. Casio and OUR have developed an Equitable Integration of Technology Framework, which underscores the significance of empowering students with a deeper understanding of mathematics through the strategic use of technology, focusing on equal access and opportunities for all learners.

Within the Open Up High School Mathematics Algebra I course, users will find:
- An embedded ClassPad Math online scientific and graphing calculator.
- Tutorials integrated within select lessons, offering guidance on leveraging ClassPad Math and Casio’s fx-9750GIII graphing calculator to enrich the problem-solving experience.
- An inclusive technology integration framework within the course guide.
