ClouBot, an AI education company for preschoolers, elementary, middle, and high school students, and adults, is set to achieve a new milestone in the industry of foreign language learning with the firm’s latest artificial intelligence (AI) Speaking Coach technology, Song Suk-ho, CEO of the Seoul-based education tech company, has recently announced. The AI tutor is powered by two booming technologies — generative AI and large language models (LLM).
ClouBot showcased the AI Speaking Coach for three days during the latest AI Expo 2024 in Seoul, which started on May 1. The AI tutor was designed for primary-level students in Korea who are learning English.
Since its establishment in 2012 by Song Suk-ho, Cloudbot has been committed to providing quality education to young students worldwide. The Cloudbot AI Tutor programme leads conversations, corrects students’ errors in real-time, and teaches students until they fully understand. The company’s belief in universal access to affordable, quality education is made possible through the platform’s AI tools. With the Cloudbot AI Tutor programme, students from all corners of the globe can receive ideal tutoring and guidance to learn and practice any subject.
One standout feature of the AI Speaking Coach, as highlighted by Song, is its human-like aspect called C-Maker. This feature allows teachers to create customized lesson plans without the need for coding. With the AI tutor, educators can design lessons to fit their curriculum and teaching style. Another unique characteristic of the coach is its interactive learning without real-time prompts. These features, according to Song, make it ideal for young students to learn a new language.
Song added that the tutor’s learning management system (LMS) is also the best fit for educators in schools; he stated that “the solution includes a comprehensive LMS for teachers and schools. This system enables educators to assign homework, schedule lessons and track student progress. It also provides feedback on each lesson and records dialogue for review. He also expects the rapid rise of LLM technology to affect every corner of the education industry.
“My view is that the educational paradigm will change dramatically over the next two years on the rise of LLM here and abroad,” Song said. “Our AI Speaking Coach represents just one of the many innovative applications of AI in education, and we will likely see more exciting developments in this field soon.”
