NeuroTrainer, a mental fitness system that enables athletes to achieve new levels of human performance with cognitive training to train the mind, has announced an investment from NOVA Prime Fund, a venture capital fund created by LG Electronics and Clearbrook, LLC. The funding aims to expand the reach of the company’s cognitive training technology beyond athletes and into individuals from a various industries.
NeuroTrainer, founded in 2018, provides virtual reality-based brain training for students and athletes. The San Francisco-based startup combines neuroscience, sports science, and immersive media to develop training, measurement, and neuro-analytics to help athletes improve their focus, decision speed, situational awareness, and overall athletic performance. The platform is used by NBA, NHL, MLB, collegiate DI teams, elite athletes, trainers and coaches.

Fred Toney, General Partner, has joined the NeuroTrainer board of directors and continues to support the growth of the firm’s network in college and professional sports. Professional athletes, coaches, and investors in 9.58 include Omar Sillah, Deion Jones (NFL), David Vanterpool (NBA), Jalen Mills (NFL), and Francis Tiafoe (ATP), among others.
The company is also expanding its reach to serve the Department of Defense and corporate performance optimisation and is leading research into the impact of NeuroTrainer on ADHD students.
