Coursera, Inc. (NYSE: COUR), a leading online learning platform, has recently announced DeepLearning’s Generative AI for Everyone. Andrew Ng, a global AI leader, is teaching a new course on AI. The course is designed to assist learners worldwide in navigating the profound shift that generative AI is bringing to the world.
According to a report by Access Partnership and FICCI, generative AI has the potential to unlock USD 621 billion in productive capacity in India. Furthermore, per a Salesforce study, 91% of Indian workers believe their companies are investigating the possibility of incorporating generative AI into their operations.
However, according to IBM’s 2022 report, organizations’ need for more skills, expertise, or knowledge is the main obstacle to successful AI adoption in India. To prepare for the adoption of AI and automation, approximately 16.2 million Indian workers will be required to reskill and upskill. At the same time, the economy is expected to create about 4.7 million new tech jobs by 2027. Acting rapidly to address these challenges and fully realize the technology’s potential is crucial.
Commenting on the latest development, Andrew Ng, Founder of DeepLearning.AI, said:
Generative AI is helping many individuals work more efficiently and enables businesses to deploy AI applications in days – which previously would have taken months to build. I’m excited about sharing generative AI best practices to allow many more people to take advantage of these revolutionary new capabilities.
This introductory-level course will help everyone, including those with no technical background, understand how generative AI works and its impact on the workplace and daily life. Professionals and business leaders will learn how to use generative AI in their work and stay ahead of the inevitable changes that this technology will bring.
Throughout the course, learners will:
- Gain expertise on how generative AI works, including what it can and can’t do.
- Learn to use generative AI to help their day-to-day work and receive tips on practical, prompt engineering.
- Receive a framework for systematically analyzing an individual or a business’s workflow to identify promising generative AI automation and augmentation opportunities.
- Understand generative AI’s impact on business and society, including its risks and responsible use.
