Norcross, GA – York Technical College awarded the educational technology company Full Tilt Ahead (FTA) the Online Course Design project in March, 2015. The goal of the Online Course Design project was to create a template for online courses in D2L and to develop 3 online courses from the template, which will serve as models for future development and redevelopment.
York Technical College understands the need to offer students cost efficient and flexible ways to complete their academic goals. For many of the College’s technical programs, flexible scheduling options are crucial to student completion. Students combine online courses with face-to-face courses to create a schedule that compliments their work and family obligations.
Full Tilt Ahead, an academic design studio, was chosen to help create that flexibility for students by optimizing York Technical College’s online course design template in addition to providing training documentation to key college personnel who will use and recreate the template.
Shannon Godwin, Interim Dean at York Technical College’s Center for Teaching and Learning, says, “Full Tilt Ahead is a structured, professional, results driven organization. I appreciated the quality of the product, and the process used for communication. Throughout the project, I felt comfortable collaborating with each company representative and truly appreciated the temperature check sessions. Working with Full Tilt Ahead is a collaborative journey towards excellence.”
