The scope and relevance of Open and Distance Learning are expanding with the speed of light in this age.
After the expansion of the Internet and Computer technology, the next big thing is the evolution open and distance learning. With the advent of technology, education has actually got the energy it should have in the 21st century.
Matching with this trend as well as the requirement of the ODL domain, a team of researchers and academicians came together and launched Asian Journal of Distance Education in 2003. Since then, this journal has been publishing quality research work from authors spread in every part of the world. As an International Journal, AsianJDE has made excellent benchmarks of quality as well as consistency.
The main aim of the Asian Journal of Distance Education (AsianJDE) is to disseminate scholarly works and information useful to researchers and practitioners in the growing field of distance education in Asia. The Journal also aims to provide a forum for discussions within and directly relating to Asia, and so elicits Asian local theoretical and practical solutions to address local concerns. The AsianJDE has a specific focus on the Asian context. The Journal publishes double-peer reviewed scholarly Articles, plus other papers such as Focus Reports on a bounded region or an institution, and Work-in-Progress.
Distinguished Editorial Board
Authors from around the world are invited to submit Articles and other information that satisfy the Journal’s aims of relevance to Asia. We have global support from highly respected leading researchers in ODE, and this is evident in both the quality of Papers we receive and in the support we have from our distinguished Editorial Board. It is not easy to attract leading Western researchers – perhaps we are successful because Asia still holds some Victorian exotic image. All article submissions to the AsianJDE undergo double-blind peer review by a minimum of two subject experts in the field.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. The work published in AjDE is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 4.0 International Licence (CC-BY-SA). The journal does not require an article processing charge (APC) from authors or readers at any time.
Publication Frequency
AJDE is published 2 times a year, in July and December. Currently, the Journal is published online. We are indexed in many important databases and indexes.
EdTechReview (ETR) is proud to be the Publisher of AsianJDE w.e.f Jan 2020.
