From time to time Google keeps launching new services or add-ons to their current services and recently Google has launched Drive for Education, an extremely large, ultra-secure and free bookbag for the 21st century.
Drive for Education will be available for free to all Google Apps for Education customers and will include:
- Unlimited storage: Drive for Education will have unlimited storage capacity. Users do not have worry about how much space is left and who needs more gigabytes. The drive also supports individual files up to 5TB.
- Vault: Google Apps Vault will be free to all Apps for Education users by the end of the year.
- Enhanced Auditing: auditing and reporting tools and an Audit API simply let users to see the movement of a file, are on the way.
All of this comes with the same world-class security that protects all Drive users. Every file uploaded on the Google Drive is encoded, from your device to Google as well as in transfer between Google data centres and on the rest of the servers.
