sub-10, an intelligent educational platform which personalises the learning experience for each user taking part in professional development, has secured £710,000 investment.
The Gateshead Proto-based business received £350,000 from the North East Innovation Fund, supported by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), and managed by Northstar Ventures, as well as £210,000 from Innovate UK’s Innovation Funding Services Combined Investor Partnerships programme.
The round also saw additional funding from angel investors, led by lead investor Dan Smyth with James Gasteen, who will take up an non-executive director role on behalf of the group.
With the recent fundraise, the education technology firm plans to develop its e-learning platform using AI. sub-10 is also planning to launch its first compliance focussed product, aimed at companies of all sizes.
Founded by Peter Stephenson and Angela Ross, sub-10 offers an all-in-one learning solution to meet business ethics and compliance requirements. The platform’s compliance learning units cover a range of mandatory topics including, code of conduct, inclusivity and diversity, anti-money laundry, anti-bribery and corruption, competition law, personal data protection, and security awareness. It builds knowledge, develops comprehension and ensures application.
Sub-10 learning platform allows businesses to access high-quality, effective learning which suits the needs of each learner. Its library of units adapts depending on individual needs, role-based requirements, preferred learning styles and performance to ensure each learner gets exactly what they need.
