Acadru, an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary learning platform for senior school and college students, recently secured $0.5 million in a pre-Series A round led by AIG Direct LLC and a clutch of other investors.
Acadru, founded in 2016 by Abhishek Singhal and Kamini Vidisha, is an online learning platform for college and senior school students that helps them develop their skills and explore their interests. The platform offers a practical multidisciplinary approach that includes project-based activities, mini-modules, and AI-powered profile generation. It aims to help students discover their passions, develop practical skills, and showcase their accomplishments, thereby preparing them for the future.
According to the Gurugram-based company, contextual explorations allow learners to elevate their learning through appropriate contexts to conceptual levels. It also provides background material, projects, content flow ideas, source material linkages for individual reports and team projects, and resources to anchor research, analysis, and evaluation skills for learning explorations.
Acadru is specifically designed to align with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes project-based learning and developing 21st-century skills. This alignment makes it a valuable resource for both students and educators, providing tools and content that support modern educational objectives.
The SaaS startup claims to have a repository of over 5,000 projects, with content stitched over 500 topics and additional material added weekly. It can be used across multiple use-case scenarios and customized to a school’s needs.
With this investment round, Acadru plans to expand its market reach and develop new content pathways.
