OnMyGrad, a Hong Kong-based EdTech platform that connects university students with potential employers, has raised an undisclosed amount in a pre-Seed funding round led by 500 Global.
With the fresh capital, the company is planning to build a virtual space that will allow students to collaborate and showcase their skills, which they can use as experience for job applications. It looks to extend this offering regionally, allowing students from different geographical locations to work together.
Launched in March 2021 by Jesse Chow and Chun Hin Anthony So, OnMyGrad is a SaaS-based platform for campus recruiters from leading graduate employers to elevate their employer brand and build their talent pool. The platform provides companies with virtual work experience programs that bring on students who are set to enter the workforce. The university students can enjoy exclusive career and industry learning content from prestigious employers.
With the completion of the courses on the platform, not just preparing themselves for the knowledge, students need to know as a job-seeker, they can also earn a fast-pass for their job applications to the course-providing employer.
Speaking about the company, Co-founder of OnMyGrad, said,
“We are working with both sides. Graduates participate in our virtual campaign, and companies can learn from the deliverables and metrics to experiment what can be achieved in an online space.”
The company understands the university student communities. Leading Graduate Employers can enjoy the one-stop functions to impress, engage and attract high-calibre university students with the monthly and yearly packages.
In the near future, OnMyGrad plans to set up offices in Singapore and Taiwan to support local community development. To help achieve its targets, the company is aiming to close a seven-digit US dollar seed round by the third quarter of 2022.
