The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) has recently announced the launch of ‘SATHEE SSC’, an initiative dedicated to providing comprehensive coaching for aspirants/students preparing for various examinations conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). This initiative, supported by the Ministry of Education, highlights a substantial commitment of the Government of India to provide affordable and quality training to aspirants/students, especially those from economically weaker backgrounds, ensuring they have access to the same level of preparation as their peers.
According to the official statement, the platform offers extensive study materials, practice tests, video lectures, and interactive sessions with experienced educators. By utilizing technology and knowledge, SATHEE aims to boost the effectiveness and accessibility of SSC exam preparation for all candidates and students.
Speaking on the launch of SATHEE SSC, Prof. Manindra Agrawal, Director of IIT Kanpur, emphasized the initiative’s alignment with National Educational Policy 2020 goals by saying:
With the launch of SATHEE SSC, we are expanding our commitment to making premier education accessible to all. This initiative is a step forward in harnessing technology to empower students across India, preparing them not just for exams but for a brighter future.
SATHEE has launched the course/ study material for SSC Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and will expand its offerings to include other exams under the SSC Category. Aspirants/students can register for SATHEE SSC through its website or by downloading the SATHEE app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Prof. Amey Karkare, Principal Investigator of the project, also stated:
Integrating an AI-enabled tutoring system into SATHEE SSC allows us to offer a personalized learning experience that adapts to individual student needs.
Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur was established in 1959 and declared an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India through an Act of Parliament. The institute offers academic and research resources spanning 19 departments, 25 centres and three interdisciplinary programmes in engineering, science, design, humanities, and management disciplines, with more than 580 full-time faculty members and approximately 9000 students.
