Dibimbing, an Indonesian online learning platform that provides skills for job preparation and career upgrades, has raised an undisclosed amount in funding from Init 6, a VC firm formed by Bukalapak founder Achmad Zaky.
With the fresh funds, the company plans to recruit employees, expand its business, and improve its learning management system.
Co-founded by three young alumni of the University of Indonesia, Zaky Muhammad Syah, Alim Anggono, and Wildan Gunawan in November 2020, Dibimbing provides digital skills training and career acceleration services for job seekers through a solution called school of career (scareer). The platform’s educational partner institutions include the University of Indonesia, Bogor Agricultural University, Airlangga University, and Brawijaya University.
Talking about the company, Co-founder and CEO of Dibimbing, Zaky Muhammad Syah, said:
“The rate of employment of its alumni is currently 80%. The company aims to boost that figure to 100% in the near future.”
The startup helps job seekers review their resumes and cover letters, train for job interviews, and navigate their career paths to help them prepare for the professional world. It claims that it works with 450 hiring partners and companies, including EdTech platform Zenius, investing apps Ajaib and Bibit, as well as ecommerce firm Sirclo.
According to Dibimbing, since 2021, it has opened hundreds of digital classes focusing on topics such as data science, UI/UX design, digital marketing, web development, and product management.
In March this year, Dibimbing had raised funding through stock securities issuance at FundEx, a securities crowdfunding startup.
