Instructure Holdings, Inc. has acquired LearnPlatform, a leading provider of education technologies that enable educators and their institutions to research, select, and evaluate digital learning solutions that best meet the current needs of their students.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition demonstrates and strengthens Instructure’s commitment to building an open, transparent, and integrated teaching and learning platform for the education industry, said a press statement. The combination of LearnPlatform’s capabilities with Instructure’s Learning Platform delivers a new, partner-friendly offering that helps educators, schools, and universities ensure that every learning technology choice they make delivers their intended outcome, added the statement.
Launched in 2014, North Carolina-based LearnPlatform provides a comprehensive EdTech effectiveness system for educators and administrators to organize, streamline, and analyze their education technology to save time, save money, and improve outcomes. It equips stakeholders across the educational landscape with real-time, meaningful insight to modernize their learning environments.
LearnPlatform’s SaaS EdTech system of record gives education organizations the ability to inventory and select digital learning tools, establish and maintain regulatory compliance, and measure outcomes to gain meaningful, actionable evidence to ensure learning ecosystems are safe and cost-effective. Since its launch, the platform has served over seven million students and teachers.
