JetLearn, a Netherlands-based online academy that provides children with a foundation in new-age technologies by teaching coding, AI, and robotics in an engaging and personalized way, has announced a collaboration with Dream School Foundation (DSF) and Donate an Hour – Explorer Academy (DoaR-EA) to bring coding education to everyone.
The partnership aims to provide high-quality computer science education, irrespective of geographical location, background, or financial constraints. The programme offers diverse learning paths for beginners and experienced Python programmers using robotics and AI concepts for real-world problem-solving.
Dream School Foundation was established in Bangalore, India, 2005 by passionate volunteers. The foundation is committed to supporting students from schools to livelihood, ensuring equitable and quality education for every child. It directly impacts the lives of 1,200 children and their families annually. The organization recognizes that teenagers and young people from deprived communities need more support in exercising their right to healthy living. This has encouraged the platform to expand its work with young people up to 24.
Commenting on the collaboration, the COO of JetLearn, Kapil Bahl, said:
We believe everyone deserves access to quality computer science education. This partnership will help us to make that dream a reality for children who don’t have access to such education. Our delivery model allows us to empower learners with no barriers of location background and put them on a path to be confident young adults.
JetLearn’s experienced teachers will offer the programme, which will follow an authorized STEM.ORG and Education Alliance Finland curriculum that highlights research, computational thinking, and creativity. It leverages not only the existing infrastructure of DSF and DoaR-EA but also the extraordinary work being done by DSF and (DoaR-EA) to improve the learning outcomes in the community they serve.
Maitreyee, Executive Director of Dream School Foundation, stated:
We are excited to partner with JetLearn to educate children from underserved communities on coding. This partnership will help to level the playing field and allow children to learn the skills they need to succeed in the 21st-century economy.
Divya Prakash of Donate an Hour – Explorer Academy also expressed his thoughts on the initiative:
In the age of AI, we are committed to providing our students with the best possible education. This partnership with JetLearn will help us by providing our students access to high-quality computer science education.
