Kidvento.app, a skilling platform for children, has recently announced that it has secured $1 million in pre-series A funding from strategic investors in the United Kingdom and the Middle East.
The Mysuru-based startup said it would utilise the fresh capital to strengthen the content, delivery, and to gain more momentum.
Founded in May 2017 by Sumanth Prabhu and Nikhil Bhaskar, who earlier co-founded VESTO, another EdTech startup from Mysuru, Kidvento provides skilling curriculum for kids aged 6 to 15 years through live and recorded classes and activities.
With fostering creativity and innovation as its prime motive, Kidvento focuses on developing mindsets that will shape the world of tomorrow. The startup firmly believes that true learning is achieved only through experience.
Kidvento had been providing curriculum solutions through teaching-learning methodologies, learning aids, teacher training, and assessment methodologies to over 100 schools and has also set up Tinkering Labs in over 250 schools so far, said a statement.
Kidvento works with kids through its partnerships with various schools and institutions. Kidvento kits are now available to parents and kids online.
The startup claims that every student that uses its products and services will try to see solutions and innovations in the world that will improve conditions for generations to come.
