The managing director attributed the achievement of the disruptive innovation and groundbreaking development to Learn Africa’s unique heritage, which was previously known as Longman Nigeria Plc. He said that for over 60 years, we have been at the forefront of educational publishing across the country, offering a wide range of books that cater to the needs of learners at all levels.
Learn Africa was founded in 1961 as Longman Nigeria, a book publishing company wholly owned by Longman Group UK Limited, now Pearson Education. The company became a subsidiary of Pearson Plc in 2008 after the latter increased its investment from 29 to 51 per cent. Pearson and Longman Nigeria did, however, agree to separate corporate entities in Nigeria in 2011. Learn Africa Plc’s significant focus is the publication and marketing of textbooks for all levels of education, including nursery, primary, secondary, and university. Today, the company possesses Nigeria’s most diverse collection of books and educational resources and a vast distribution network. The organization strives to provide innovative educational solutions that enhance learning outcomes.
