The round also saw participation from several angel investors, including Elijah Mayfield, Ted Dintersmith, Samyr Quereshi, Roger Luo, Niels Hoven, and partners from Reach Capital. These investors join our initial investors, Other Ventures and Raheel Khan.
Founded by Adeel Khan, MagicSchool.ai gives educators powerful artificial intelligence tools to transform how they interact with students. It leverages AI to assist with lesson planning, differentiation, assessment writing, individual education program (IEP) creation, and more. The platform saves educators up to 10 hours per week, allowing them to focus more on the unique needs of their students.
Speaking about the company, Founder & CEO of MagicSchool.ai, Adeel Khan, said:
The speed of our growth is representative of the longstanding need to support overburdened educators. For decades, we’ve asked teachers to do more with less, and educators have made superhuman efforts to continue helping guide and teach the next generation. More than four in ten K-12 teachers in the US (44%) say they “always” or “very often” feel burnt out at work—outpacing all other industries nationally. (Gallup).
Khan further stated:
Throughout my career, I’ve seen some of the best educators I know leave the profession because of burnout. These are the kinds of folks that we all want in front of students – irreplaceable teachers. Students will pay the price if we don’t address teacher burnout now.
According to the company, over 100,000 teachers have started to utilize the platform to reclaim their time and better serve children. Over 10,000 instructors now use MagicSchool.ai in practically every school district in the country.
AI will help teachers have more sustainable careers by reducing their workloads. MagicSchool.ai is already saving teachers hours, which they can use to develop trust with a difficult-to-reach student, visit a family to help them understand financial aid, differentiate a lesson for varied learners, and spend time with their families on weekends.
Additionally, MagicSchool.ai envisions creating custom dashboards for school districts, providing valuable insights to higher-level decision-makers. With a focus on product-led growth and an ever-expanding user base, the firm is poised to revolutionize education by seamlessly integrating AI into teachers’ day-to-day workflow.
