New Holland, a CNH brand, recently launched the “Saksham” initiative to train and empower underprivileged youngsters in rural areas. This aligns with the National Skill Development Mission and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The project is being carried out in collaboration with SEEDS – Social Empowerment & Economic Development Society. It intends to develop a pool of skilled and certified automotive sales professionals for the AG and automotive industries. Individuals aged 18 and up who have completed at least 12th grade can apply for the programme in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Maharashtra.
New Holland offers innovative agricultural solutions, such as a wide range of tractors, combine harvesters, and farming implements, that drive efficiency and productivity across numerous applications such as tillage, plantation, harvesting, post-harvesting, commercial applications and haulage.
Sandeep Gupta, Sales Director of Agriculture Segment, CNH India, spoke about the project and stated:
Our Project Saksham is committed to providing rural youth with pertinent skills for the modern world. Through this initiative, we will equip them with the skills needed to enable them to possible placement opportunities that will positively impact the economy. CNH is deeply committed to empowering unemployed youth through initiatives like LEAD and Hunar, which offer skill development and entrepreneurship training, transforming 15,000 families in India.
The training covers various aspects of Automotive Sales Assistant roles, from processing sales leads to closing sales pitches, efficient communication, teamwork, resolving customer queries, and after-sales activities, all gained through practical experience at our dealerships. The programme began with a Bootcamp for theory, product, and soft skill training at Samalkha, Haryana, from February 6 to 8, 2024. It will be followed by three months of practical training at the dealership.
