YaizY, a New York-based EdTech platform with a wide range of curated courses in advanced digital subjects for kids, announced that it has raised $2.1 million in a seed round with total funding nearing $3 million.
The round was led by LearnStart, Flyer One Ventures, YellowRockets.vc, Angelsdeck, A.Partners, Vesdar Capital, and ALFIN.
With the new funding, the startup plans to expedite its expansion in the US, further grow the customer base in UK and Israel, increase the development of the live education platform and support the launch of fun yet rigorous courses for students to learn from for years to come.
Co-founded in 2020 by Vitaly Gordon, Lasha Bokuchava, and Evgeniy Roshchupkin, YaizY offers 8-17-year-old kids advanced courses that cultivate the skills and drive needed to excel in multimedia arts and technology. With a curriculum fueled by imagination, YaizY empowers kids to become innovators, thought leaders, and the architects of tomorrow. The interactive platform makes digital literacy accessible and fun led by its hand-picked team of top certified tutors.
YaizY currently has more than 14,000 students and over 140 teachers on its platform and offers over 15 courses in computing, entrepreneurship, multimedia arts, innovation, and design.
Speaking about the platform, Vitaly Gordon, Co-founder & CEO of YaizY, said,
“We believe that each and every kid has individual passions and our role as parents and educators is to ignite these passions, and help them navigate the skills needed towards their true calling. Our focus is on motivating children to develop a growth mindset, acquire the advanced skills needed, and jumpstart their journey to becoming the next generation of innovators, designers, and thought leaders.”
With a global team of entrepreneurs and industry experts with decades of educational experience, YaizY is fixing the gap between traditional school opportunities in progressive subjects. YaizY is the perfect learning companion for kids and parents who share the vision for education that disrupts tradition in order to pave the way for modern learning that best serves young people.
Don Burton, CEO of LearnStart, said,
“YaizY’s entry into the U.S. is a testament to how students around the world are gravitating to this exciting new platform. It’s not easy to stick out in the crowded EdTech sector, and we believe YaizY is poised to quickly become an industry leader in the North American market. YaizY’s unique platform and course offerings open up a whole new world for kids to explore their passions, while filling the gap between learning traditional subjects and 21st-century skills.”
This is YaizY’s second investment round after the initial $800,000 equity round closed earlier this year.
