eCampus, a SaaS-based EdTech startup for higher education institutions, has raised $250,000 in its seed round led by the Blackboard Education Research Foundation in India.
The Noida-based startup plans to utilize the funds to drive product improvement, create an efficient lateral staff, and continually produce new solutions to answer fresh market demands.
eCampus is a campus automation platform for higher education institutions built to address the significant strategic issues universities and colleges face, such as organizing, controlling data, and providing online learning solutions to students. Its web and mobile-based university management platform and LMS are tailored to meet the ever-changing demands of the education industry. As a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform, the startup has entirely digitized the management and online learning process.
With eCampus, colleges and students can access online exams and learning, campus automation, data management, fee and account management, and other digital solutions. eCampus platform offers various vital management and online learning features with an incredibly user-friendly interface that provides a user-friendly experience.
Co-founded by Faiz Khan and Anjum Badar in 2018, eCampus claims to have over 10,000 paying users distributed across five Indian cities. eCampus’ primary goal is to empower colleges and universities. The platform has already made the management and learning experience smooth for various colleges, and it aims to reach all prospective higher education institutions across India.
Speaking about the company, Anjum Badar, Co-founder of eCampus, said,
“The solutions offered by eCampus LMS platform are pretty handy for the HEIs as it pulls out the conundrum of managing the learning of their students. It allows the faculties to just focus on the content deliverables of their teaching in any form of media which includes conducting live interactive classes, uploading DRM encrypted video lectures, PDF files, presentations, eBooks, or any other e-learning resources. We’ve been the most indigenous EdTech platform in tier-2 HEI market for learning continuity and conduction of proctored end-term examination ever since the Covid-19 pandemic hit our country. Our LMS platform has also seen a surge of almost 200% in the existing active user base with an increase in average session duration from 3 to 15 mins.”
Prominent UGC and AICTE-accredited institutions and colleges such as Lingayas Vidyapeeth, Shri Venkateshwar University, ITM Dehradun, JIMS School of Distance Learning, and Jaipur National University currently rely on eCampus’ LMS platform.
Mayank Gupta, Investor & Advisor, said,
“Education is the biggest catalyst for development and e-learning is the future of education. The team behind eCampus is highly enthusiastic and dedicated with an aim to build a world-class product that will be loved by its customers. Their product aligns with our aim to digitize the entire unorganized higher education ecosystem across tier 2 and 3 cities in India.”
All colleges and universities can use eCampus, on a freemium basis. Since the first lockdown and campus shutdown, eCampus has extended its FREEMIUM Plan from 100 to 500 users to provide uninterrupted learning to students at smaller and medium higher education institutions.
